Around the Primary
At last Friday's assembly, Earth Carers staff and a special battery mascot launched our Battery Recycling Program. This is part of our Sustainability initiatives and the students are encouraged to collect used household batteries from their families and friends and bring them to school for recycling. Our College has become part of the western suburb's School's Battery Recycling Competition. Our batteries will be collected, weighed and sent for recycling. The winning school receives one year's membership to the REmida Creative Reuse Centre. The types of batteries accepted include AA and AAA cells (single use & rechargeable), C and D size, button batteries (e.g. from watches), and 9V and 6V batteries (e.g. lantern/torch batteries). The battery recycling bin can be found in the front office.

An integral part of the Year 3 preparation for Reconciliation is the Retreat Day. Today the children participated in many reflective activities with Mrs Vicoli, Mrs Distante, Mrs Young, Mrs Gardner and Fr Gaetan. Please keep the children in your prayers as they are now in the final stages of their preparation for their First Reconciliation.
